The bottom of te badge has been slightly bent forward but could probably be straightened. Johnnie Walker
marketed his 'Walker's Kilmarnock Whisky' in the town, which became 'Johnnie Walker's'. A statue in
the town centre near the Laigh Kirk commemorates him. Looking at the wheel the badge is probably pre war or just after. £55.00

Gulf Research Racing Company
Without doubt, this must be a very rare badge indeed and certainly
the only one I have ever seen in 25 years. The badge was acquired by Hubert Patthey during his 1966 World Sports Racing
Prototypes Season, but I don't know where from. This famous racing driver, AC Cars works driver and Swiss Importer
for AC cars had a very illustrious career, as well as being involved in talks with Elio Zagato in 1957 to produce a 1 off
Zagato bodied AC which was eventually owned by Jo Siffert. His career
began in 1947 driving a Supercharged MG which, in 1948 he claimed a new record at the Brighton Speed Trials
in Classe 6, and throughout his career he drove Mille Miglia Cisitalia, Porsche, VW Porsche, AC Bristol 9th overall at Le
Mans in 1958, Aston Martin DBR4 GT, Simca Montlhery, Riley. He competed in the Monte Carlo Rally 1953/54/55/56 and 62,
HRG Aerodynamik, Porsche. Just too many cars and events to list, as well as campaigning for many years in the World sports
Racing Prototypes with an Alfa Romeo TZ1 for at least one season. The
badge itself is in excellent condition and measures 94mm in diameter. There is a very slight mark to the plastic just below
the E in England, but otherwise just lovely patina. £250.00

Automobile Club Of Argentina
Measures approx 3.25 inches across, the enamel is in good condition, however, we are unable to determine
the originality of this badge. It was bought from South America and is numbered 12670 so it may just be that it isn't
as old as one would imagine, however, this is reflected in the price! £65.00

|

|
Touring Club Of Argentina - Buenos Aires
This badge was bought with the one above and so, again, we cannot be sure of it's authenticity. However,
measuring 4.5 inches across, it would make an inexpensive badge to be fitted to a car. £45.00
